Meeting Fuzz Townshend at Transport Museum Wythall
It was a real honour to meet Fuzz Townshend from Car SOS and Shed & Buried at Transport Museum Wythall yesterday. Fuzz showed a genuine interest in the Commonwealth Car Club and was more than happy to share stories from his time working with the West Midlands Passenger Transport Executive at the Dudley garage. A fantastic conversation and a pleasure to meet someone so passionate about motoring and transport history.
EVENT LOCATION AND INFORMATION
The Transport Museum in Wythall is a must-visit for anyone who loves buses. It’s just outside Birmingham and has a huge collection of old buses, tiny steam engines, and other cool vintage vehicles. You can explore all sorts of exhibits that show how public transport has changed over the years. One of the best things about the museum is that you can actually ride on old buses! It’s like stepping back in time and experiencing what travel was like back in the day. They also have a tiny railway that kids love. The museum is open on Saturdays, Sundays, and bank holidays from March to October. You can go there between 11:00 AM and 4:30 PM. They also have special events sometimes, so it’s worth checking their website to see what’s happening. Whether you’re a history buff or just looking for a fun day out, the Transport Museum in Wythall is a great place to be. It’s a unique and informative experience that you won’t find anywhere else.
